Vocabulário de Numerais em inglês

Os ordinais se formam com “-th” na maioria dos casos e têm três exceções que valem decorar: first, second e third, que voltam em vinte e um, vinte e dois e vinte e três. As datas se leem com ordinal mesmo quando escritas com número puro: 5 May sai como “the fifth of May” ou “May fifth”. Os anos seguem convenção própria — 1998 é “nineteen ninety-eight”, e 2005 é “two thousand and five”. As frações usam ordinal no denominador: “two thirds”, “three quarters”.
